Maker Nights

hands for web

Fortnightly, Tuesday evenings • 5pm – 9:30pm • Free
June 11th & 25th
July 9th & 23rd
August 6th & 20th

Whether you wield knitting needles, a camera, a soldering iron, or all three at the same time, these regular fortnightly social gatherings are for makers to work on their projects and meet up with others with interesting ideas.

All are welcome. (Children too, but they must be accompanied by a responsible adult.)

The sessions are largely self-led and will vary according to who gets involved. …so really the only requirement is that you’re someone who’d like to get involved! Skills are for sharing – we can probably guide you with learning to solder if you need somewhere to get started.

Drop-in for whatever time works for you; you don’t have to be there for the whole of the session.

See the Getting to The Public page for directions to the venue. (Parking is free after 6pm, if you’ve come by bike, feel free to bring it in with you.) Once you’re inside, go to the reception desk and they’ll guide you up to where we are (usually the Longroom on the 3rd floor).

We might organise some of the sessions around a(n optional) theme – keep an eye on the blog and/or the @ManyVaried Twitterstream for up-to-date information…
